I got to know Cameron while he assisted me on new productions of Siegfried and Götterdämmerung in the Netherlands. As sometimes happens, when we are lucky, his involvement during the intense process proved a total joy from day one: his knowledge, dedication and sincere artistic feeling were a great support from the start. A few years later, in Amsterdam we cooperated on a fine new production of Britten’s “Owen Wingrave”. It was my intention to grant him a performance; and so he did, and extremely well. It was his first complete opera. Look were he has come since then.. And so well deserved!
